There was a point in my childhood where I did not regularly comb my hair. I let it get very messy.

I have really long hair.

Guess how much fun it was to prep my hair for special occasions :D

My hair was also very long, going all the way down to my waist. And I still didn’t care about my hair.

Except I didn’t even try to make my hair look nice for concerts or photos or the like.

Now I can look back at those photos and…

…Oh gosh. I don’t even want to look at my yearbook pictures for Freshman and Sophomore year of high school. It was awful. :<

…Of course, nowadays, I’m still very bad about washing my hair, even if I keep it brushed now.

I’ll never be a beautician.

I know the feel, I hardly bother with my hair until it gets obviously dirty/messy. XD *sleeps with hair braided to reduce tangles, often keeps it that way the next day because lazy* But I didn’t even do that as a kid. The hair, the haaaaiiiir @_@

Yup, same here. xD I’m a pretty low-maintenance girl.
Except I had this obsession back then with having a lot of hair. Oh so much hair. o_o My hair is thick and wavy enough as it is without it being so extremely long. I don’t think I even managed to keep my hair clean, nor did I really care.

After I graduated high school, I ended up cutting my hair to shoulder length and then let it grow to some point on the upper part of my back since it was a more reasonable length. And even then it’s put in a ponytail because I don’t like to deal with it.

Actually, right now, my hair got cut really short and is now just above my shoulders. I look like a 50s girl now. xD …Though sometimes I even still put that hair in a ponytail because I like ponytails. It looks more like a tuft that way. Whenever I do that though, my boyfriend takes away my ponytail holders because he thinks I look better without. I do, but that’s beside the point. =P

Because even with my shorter hair cut, there’s still so much hair. o_o Stupid hair had to be really thick.

Right now it is, I’ve seen you with some wicked bed head.

I just don’t see the point in brushing it if it’s just gonna get messy again… :<

This was my philosophy during my teenage years that I took to heart by never brushing my hair.

…

….What a fool I was.
Never. Ever. Again.

Annoying times for long-hairedness…

…When you’re trying to grow out your bangs, and they’re just long enough to still get in the way despite putting in a bobby pin, but still short enough to not be able to reach the ponytail holder.
